He leaned against the bar counter, watching the dancing bodies on the dance floor. He wiped perspiration off of his forehead, the club’s atmosphere heavy and sticky, but he enjoyed the loud music and the vibrating bass as it beat through the floor, vibrating through the feet of the dancers. The blonde smiled, fiddling with his drink as he watched the dancers; girls, boys, girls with boys, boys with girls…Even some girls with girls and boys with boys. It was interesting to see the different groupings in a club like this; a club so open about everything that transsexuals would feel comfortable coming in here and not worrying about getting shunned by the sex they want.

He ran his fingers through his hair, blue eyes looking away from the dance floor to sinstead look at a redheaded male and a blonde female talking…Pretty heatedly. He blinked, watching with interest as the blonde seemed to yell something at the redhead, slapping him across the face before storming out of the club; she passed Roxas in such haste that she barely noticed how she jarred his knee. He hissed, putting his drink on the bar counter and rubbing his knee when someone slid into the seat next to him, and he felt eyes on him.

Roxas looked up to see the redhead in front of him, green eyes that he hadn’t seen before looking at him with curiousity. “She’s a bit of a demon, isn’t she?” He teased, indicating to the closing doors of the club. Roxas looked at the doors as well, nodding mutely; he didn’t know why the redhead was over here…But he was inwardly glad he was. The guy was hot. “Sorry about that; I hope she didn’t permanently damage your kneecap so that you could never walk again.” Roxas laughed and the redhead grinned. “The name’s Axel.”

“Roxas,” he took Axel’s offered hand, shaking it and he thought he felt the redhead squeeze it before letting go. “You two going out?”

“More like we like to fuck each other whenever we’re frustrated.” Axel grinned lazily, resting his elbow on the bar counter. He looked at the bartender, who just nodded and grinned at Axel, going to get him a drink. “She’s got a boyfriend, and I just wander around.”

“…Does her boyfriend know about this relationship?”

“Hell, sometimes he joins. He finds it kinky as hell.” Axel rolled his eyes, grinning and leaning back. “Dem, would you hurry up? I’m parched!”

“Then maybe you should have some water, instead of taking a shot.” The bartender, a young male named Demyx who was just legally allowed to sell and mix alcohol, said, grinning as he placed it in front of the redhead. “Though I’m not gonna say anything; you pay for it after all, and I get some of that pay.” Axel grinned, taking his glass and downing the drink quickly, blinking and shaking his head before putting the glass down, glancing at Roxas who had watched the exchange.

“I’ve been here a few times.”

“I know.” Axel blinked, Roxas looking back at the dance floor to ignore the stare; it would make him blush if he continued to look into those vibrant eyes, and after saying that he didn’t think he could handle the intensity.

“Do you watch me or something, Rox?”

“I watch everyone.” Roxas commented, indicating the dance floor. “I’ve noticed you and your fuck buddy a few times out there, making the dance floor seem almost pornographic.”

“Larxene likes to dance dirty, what can I say?” Axel smirked and Roxas snorted, smiling and taking a swig of his drink. “What the hell are you drinkin’ anyhow?”

“Nothing you need to be concerned about.” Roxas glanced over at him, smirking a little. “Don’t need you drugging me or anything.”

“Roxas, if I wanted to drug you, I could’ve done it when you were busy checking if your knee still functioned normally.” Axel said, smirking. “I ain’t into date rape drugs; those are harsh and unethical…And not my style, anyhow.” He shook his head, leaning back. “But you’re smart not to answer me; I might get the bartender to slip something.”

“I thought it wasn’t your style.”

“Not my style to do it myself. Who says I can’t have accomplices?” Roxas laughed, shaking his head and downing the rest of his drink, putting it on the bar counter as he continued to watch the crowd. “What’s so interesting about the dancers?” Axel asked then, and Roxas mentally wondered if the guy could have a moment of silence…Ever.

“It’s like a world of their own out there.” Roxas said simply, shrugging his shoulders. “No one cares who’s with whom, just as long as you’re all dancing and all having a good time. See? There’s two guys totally grinding each other next to a guy and a girl, and the girl is just laughing and clapping with the beat, not a care in the world. I would bet my entire pay check that if those two couples met on the street outside, the girl would look disgusted and the guy would spit at them.” Roxas sighed a little, elbows on the counter. “It’s nice to see some acceptance in a world where everything is shunned for being different.”

Axel stared at the blonde, Roxas could feel that, and he glanced over at the redhead to see him staying at him with something akin to awe. “That’s kinda deep for a place playing ‘Low’ by Flo Rida.” He said raising an eyebrow and Roxas got momentarily sidetracked by the sudden realization that his eyebrow was pierced.

“Nice piercing.”

“Thanks—holy hell are you ADD?” Axel asked, blinking and Roxas laughed.

“Not clinically.” He said, shrugging and pushing aside some of his hair, showing two earrings on his left ear. “I just notice strange things at random times, and comment them before I forget.”

“Nice earrings.”

“Thanks.” He looked over at Axel, grinning and Axel smirked back, looking back at the dance floor. “What were you and Larxene fighting about?”

“Something stupid,” Axel rolled his eyes, scowling as he thought about it. “She’s touchy about everything, so if I mention something she doesn’t agree with, she has a heart attack and freaks out.” He snorted and Roxas glanced at him from the crude noise, seeing him bitterly looking at the crowd again. “She freaked out today because I said that I wanted to take a break for a while, go see other people without her breathing down my neck. She spazzed, like I expected her to.” He glanced over at Roxas, raising an eyebrow. “Why do you care, oh curious one?”

“Because I’m curious, like you said.” Roxas said, shrugging before he looked at Demyx, waving him over. “Can I have another one of what I had?” He said, being careful not to say the drink’s name with Axel nearby, smirking as Axe rolled his eyes.

“I’ll have the same as Paranoid here.” Axel said, jerking his head at Roxas and Roxas rolled his eyes as Demyx grinned and nodded, walking away to get their drinks. Axel then blinked, looking at the DJ as the music stopped.

“Anyone got a special someone here tonight?” He asked into the mic, and a bunch of couples called out, cheering. “Cool…Now separate from your someone and get with someone else.” The crowd went silent before they all shrugged and separated from the partners that they had been dancing with the entire night, going with different people; a girl with a boy ended up with a girl with a girl; boys with boys went to girls with boys or other boys with boys. Roxas smiled as he saw it, and Axel looked at him curiously.

“Why are you interested in separating couples?”

“Well…The DJ’s a friend of mine.” Roxas said, nodding to Riku as he nodded back to Roxas, going through his list of songs before finding the one he wanted. “He agrees with me that the atmosphere in clubs is interesting and better than the outside world. It’s common for this to happen, isn’t it?” Roxas glanced at Axel, and the redhead nodded; Larxene had always gotten pissed whenever this had happened. “Riku and I have this theory that if we separate couples from each other and put them into a pairing with someone who likes someone else, or who likes a different gender, that they’ll understand each other a little better. Become a world of acceptance. Remember those two couples I told you about earlier?” Axel nodded, watching Roxas and not the crowd. “The girl got with one of the two guys, the guy going with the other guy. They’re laughing and talking now…I doubt that now, if they meet each other on the street, they’ll be so hateful towards the guys.”

“You are trying to change the world through dance clubs, aren’t you?” Axel asked, grinning. Roxas smirked, shrugging a little. “That’s a weird way to make a difference.”

“But I’m sure it’s effective.”

“I’m sure.” The redhead blinked as a familiar beat started to play just as Demyx came with their drinks. He took his grinning as Roxas took a sip of his drink, smirking as he watched the dance floor come back to life after the momentary confusion. “‘I Kissed a Girl’?”

“It’s different, isn’t it?” Roxas asked, looking over at him with a wide grin and Axel had to roll his eyes, taking a sip of the drink. He blinked eyes wide as he realized how strong the drink actually was. “Surprised by my tolerance?”

“You seem like the type of person to get a cocktail and get completely hammered.”

“This is my fourth drink.” Roxas said, looking at him. “And I’m still completely lucid. My dad and I have drinking contests.” Axel looked at him oddly, shrugging before watching the people dance like Roxas.

“…Do you ever dance at these things?” Axel asked, looking over at him; he had never seen the blonde here before, but Roxas seemed to know everyone in this club; he was friends with the DJ, and when you were friends with the guy who played the music, then you must be a regular at the club. Roxas shook his head, though, foot tapping with the heavy bass. “Why not?”

“Can’t dance.” Axel snorted, putting down his drink and looking at Demyx, mentally telling him to watch their drinks as he took Roxas’ drink, placing it on the counter and dragging him off of the stool he sat his ass on comfortably, dragging him towards the thrumming dance floor. “The hell you doing?!”

“Taking you dancing.” Axel said, dragging him to the middle of the dance floor and turning to him, immediately feeling at home. “What’s the point of watching your good deeds if you don’t take part of them yourself?”

“I’m an observer!” Roxas protested in a squeaky voice, blushing as Axel dragged him closer; the redhead was taller than he had thought, as his stomach at the same level as his hips. He also noted that he was wearing a dark red dress shirt and a black scarf around his neck with dark blue jeans, opposite to his light blue shirt which he had over a light tank top and light blue acid-wash jeans. He squeaked when he felt Axel’s hands on his hips, turning him around and pressing his back against a strong chest, inwardly hyperventilating.

“Okay, Rox…Just breath. Be a participant observer.” Axel murmured into his ear, and Roxas took a deep breath before closing his eyes, unsure what to do. “Alright. You’re relaxed. That’s good.” Axel murmured softly, and Roxas had to remember to keep his breathing even as he felt his breath on the shell of his ear. He felt one of Axel’s larger hands take his left hand, lifting it so that it would cup his neck. “A bracelet, too…You’re just big into jewellery, ain’t ya?” The redhead teased in a seductive tone, and Roxas shivered, hoping to God that he didn’t feel that. “Now just move along with the music; your body will know what to do. And if you don’t know what to do…Follow my movements. You’ll feel them.”

Roxas nodded, taking a deep breath and kept his eyes closed, starting when Axel started to move. He awkwardly stood there for a moment, before he listened to the music, forgetting everything else around him other than the addictive beat that was beating through his skull. And as he listened to it, he felt Axel’s body behind him and he started to move along with him, unsure of what he was doing, but not hearing any laughter at his expense.

It was strange, letting his body take over for once instead of his mind. It was like he was freed of any restrictions that he lived under, and he found that he enjoyed it a lot. He moved around as if he had been dancing at clubs forever, and Axel grinned at him as he finally got into the beat and opened his eyes. The song was short, but that was alright. After the song ended, they stayed together and continued to dance, Axel’s hands running over his sides and Roxas running his fingers through his tied back hair or over his chest. By the time the two were breathing heavily, Axel suggested they go back to their drinks and they walked back to the bar, Roxas running his hands through his hair to straighten them as best as he could, watching as Axel grinned triumphantly, straightening his shirt.

Roxas finished off his drink, paying for all four and sitting back, watching as the last songs were played and the club started to empty. As the last few people were leaving, the blonde felt a hand on his shoulder and glanced over at Axel, randomly taking notice of his tattoos for the first time but not saying anything. “Wanna come over to my place?” Axel asked, raising his pierced eyebrow at him and Roxas seemed to think about it for a moment, unsure if he wanted to do this. Axel was interesting to talk to, and definitely attractive; but what if he did something stupid? Or they slept together and it was only a one-night stand? Roxas hated one-night stands. He’d been through a few of them and it always hurt when the person didn’t contact him again.

But he looked at Axel again, feeling something different about this guy he barely knew. “Sure.” He said, smiling and standing up. He waved to Riku as he walked passed, Riku nodding and eyeing Axel questionably before shrugging; he knew the guy, and he knew that if he took some random person to his house, he was serious about them. Axel wasn’t into on-night stands either. He found them impersonal after sharing into something extremely personal and unfair to the other person.

They got out of the taxi that Axel had called up, Axel paying and leading the blonde towards an apartment building. He opened the front of the building, getting inside and taking the stairs, saying that the elevator was broken. Luckily Axel’s apartment was on the second floor, so it didn’t take them long to get up there and into his apartment.

Axel had said to make himself comfortable while he got them both some pop to balance out their alcohol intake, Roxas pointing out that water would be better; Axel utterly ignored him like he had with Demyx, though, and Roxas had to smile, shaking his head. He slipped out of his sneakers, walking over to the couch and flopping onto it, looking out the large window that the redhead had. “Nice apartment,” he called out and he heard Axel snort.

“It’s alright, for something bought by my dad’s money.” The redhead rolled his eyes, walking out with two glasses of Sprite, giving one to Roxas and sitting next to him. “My dad owns this building, as well as the other Hitomi Hotels in the area.” He shrugged. “I try to keep away from anything that’s his, but he bought me this apartment as a present for getting into Radiant Garden University. Been living here since.”

“How long ago was that?”

“Three years ago. I’m a senior now. You?”

“Junior at TT Tech.”

“Twilight Town? Man, that’s a hard one to get into. And here I thought you were a sociology student.”

“Hah, no; I’m a computer techie. My brother’s the one in the Social Science, and I read his books from time to time.” His smile faltered a little, and he scratched the back of his neck. “The reason for me trying to change the world through clubs, as you so bluntly stated it, is because my brother got hurt for being gay. His boyfriend’s Riku…”

“What happened to him?”

“He’s paralyzed from the waist down and stuck in a wheelchair for the rest of his life. He’s just lucky he isn’t dead.” Roxas shook his head, taking a sip of his drink and sighing a little at the fizzy texture. “I’d rather not talk about it, though…Is this spiked?”

“Perhaps a little.”

“Axel are you an alcoholic?”

“Well, I don’t go to any meetings, so I don’t think so.” Roxas rolled his eyes and Axel had to grin, nudging his side. “You’re a little different than in the club.”

“The club I feel I can be open…Outside…”

“You can still be open. This is my apartment.” Axel turned Roxas to look at him in the eyes seriously. “This is my private living space. This is where I relax, and no one gives a damn what I do in here.”

“This where you fuck Larxene and her boyfriend?”

“Hell no, I’d get so many STDs it’s not even funny.” Roxas laughed, knowing Axel wasn’t serious but still, it was nice to hear him joking like he had in the club. “…I don’t bring a lot of people here, actually.”

“Not even the other people you sleep around with?”

“Always their place. They want something quick I’ll give it to them, but not in my domain.” He paused, taking a swig of his drink. “If I bring anyone here, it’s serious.” He glanced at Roxas. “Got it memorized?”

“…I think so.” Roxas looked away, blushing lightly and taking a gulp from his drink, trying to cool himself off. Axel laughed, wrapping an arm around his shoulders and relaxing.

“There you go, getting all stiff and flushed again! Come on, Rox; you gotta relax. I’m not gonna bite unless you want me to.”

“…And if I do want you to?” Roxas asked, looking over at him. Axel was looking over at him in a lazy manner, a slow smile coming to his lips.

“Well…Then you only gotta ask.” He fiddled with Roxas’ collar before sliding his hand across his shoulders, looking at him. “But you gotta relax.”

“And how do you suggest I do that?”

“Well…You were relaxed while dancing.” Axel said smiling as Roxas flushed a bit at the memory. “Maybe you just need a little prompting?”

“And how do you plan to do that?” Axel grinned dragging Roxas over to him and making him sit on his lap, the arm that had the hand that held his drink resting on his hip as he looked up at the blue eyed boy in front of him.

“Well…Let’s see if I can pull something creative out of my ass.” He said, his free hand resting on his hip and tugging his shirt from being tucked into his jeans, fingers slipping under to feel warm skin. He then leaned up towards Roxas’ ear, and Roxas flushed at feeling his warm breath as he started to sing lightly…It was like ‘I Kissed a Girl’, but it was like Axel was gender-bending it or something.

“I kissed a boy and it felt so good
Lips softer than they look
Why kiss a boy? Just thought I should
Steal a kiss, call me a crook
We’ll get along
My girl ain’t here
Just between us, nothing to fear
I kissed a boy and he tastes so good
He tastes so good…”

Axel then brushed his lips against his ear, smiling a little as he felt the boy stiffen in his lap. “Mind if I see if you really do taste as good as I imagine…?” He murmured, and Roxas blushed a deeper red then he had been before he nodded a little. Axel smiled a bit, before pressing his lips against the blonde’s eyes closed as he took in the new taste of the younger male’s lips. Roxas’ eyes fell closed of their own accord, his brain once again handing control over to his body and he felt his lips part for Axel’s tongue to sneak in there, urging Roxas’ to interact with his. Roxas’ free hand reached forward to grab onto the black scarf Axel was wearing, his other hand with the drink wrapping around his neck and he felt Axel’s warm, skilled hand running up his stomach, lifting his shirt and revealing his pale tummy.

They separated after a few moments, Roxas panting a little and Axel grinning before he took their glasses, putting them on the table in front of the couch and wrapping Roxas’ arms around his neck, his hands roaming underneath his shirt as he pressed their lips together again, tongues immediately intertwining with each other. When he pulled back the second time, looking through half lidded eyes at the flushed face in front of him, he grinned a little. “Well, well…You do taste good.”

Roxas blushed, looking to the side and Axel nuzzled his neck, smiling as Roxas ran his fingers through his freed hair, having pulled out the elastic earlier. “Anything you wanna say before we do anything?”

“…You better be serious about this.”

“Haven’t been more serious about anything in my life, Roxas.”

Three Months Later

Roxas fiddled with his T-shirt, looking at the brunette in the wheelchair before he smiled a little, running his fingers through his hair. “Roxas, stop fidgeting.” Sora chastised playfully, rolling his wheelchair over and looking up at his little brother. “What’s got your confidence all twisted suddenly?”

“Sora, I’m about to introduce my boyfriend to you. I think I have the right to be nervous.”

“If he’s as amazing as you say he is, then you’ve got nothing to worry about.”

“Well, he’s blunt about everything and he swears like a sailor and…”

“And I don’t care about any of that! Riku’s partially mute.” Sora grinned. “It’ll be good to have someone talkative to hang around for once.”

“Hey! I talk!”

“About as much as Riku when you’re at home. I hear you’re a real chatterbox in the dance clubs.” Roxas flushed as he remembered why this entire meeting was going on. Roxas hadn’t been home one day and Sora had answered the phone when Axel had called. When Roxas had gotten home Sora informed the blonde that his boyfriend would be having dinner with them the next Saturday. Roxas had been on edge since.

The doorbell rang then, making Roxas jump about a mile in the air before he coughed, ignoring his brother’s fits of giggling as he went to answer the door. He opened it and there was Axel, standing in all of his redheaded glory, dressed casually though decent enough for Sora’s approval. Roxas just sighed, relieved that Axel knew not to dress in something with an open shirt or whatever. “Hey babe,” Axel greeted, bending down and capturing Roxas’ lips with his own, smiling as he pulled back. “Still good.” He then looked over Roxas’ shoulder to see Sora smiling at them, and he grinned at the older brother. “You must be that fussy older brother that’s always trying to get his brother laid.” He said and Sora laughed, Roxas blushing; what had the two talked about?

“And you must be the perverted boyfriend getting my brother laid.” Sora replied, making Roxas blush a deeper shade of red and wishing he could sink into the floor. “How’d you get Roxas to agree to go out with you, anyhow?”

“Well…” He paused, looking at Roxas before he smiled, shrugging.

“I kissed the boy and I liked it.”

...And it felt so good! *la*

...Anyhow! XD This is a story based off of :iconnijuuni:'s 'I Kissed a Boy' found here: [link]

I wanted to see if I could make a story out of this. I'm trying to get out of a really painful writer's block, but it seems like anything I wrote before was plain shit. So I tried writing this. Writing Axel and Roxas really helps me, since I love those two so much. ^^ I hope I did well, Nijuuni! I don't want to destroy your beautiful picture with my story. ^^;;

Ah, I had quite a similar idea when I saw that awesome pic - I just haven't had the time to write yet. Maybe I don't need to now, you took care if it. ^_^

Good story, good story. ^_^

*A* Fuck, why do you spoil me so *burrows into your chest or something *

I like, freaking love your writing style. I love how you describe Ax/Larx dancing style as pornographic. Aaah, that was funny XD
And I like that. Changing the world through dance clubs. I really like that, it's very refreshing in a way.
I also liked how you continued it up three months later. If you left it at the moment before, it'd come off as a weak ending, in my opinion, so i'm glad you did a follow up <3

Thanks so much again, m'dear

I'm gonna eat you up like a strawberry pocky.
:iconangelwing1138:
Yeeeeey.
I spoil ya because you spoil the DA qorld with your art. How's that? XP

I'm glad you like it so much! ^^ I try very hard when writing, and if it's for someone else, I try a little harder than usual. I feel as if I should. ^^; And yeah, I didn't want to leave it before the three months, because then it'd be really...Neh, to me. And I didn't want that kind of ending. I wanted to try and clean it up a little to finish it off nicely.
So why not introduce the brother and show a fidgety(sp? O.o) Roxas? XD
But yeeees. I'm glad you liked the story! ^^ Makes me happy.

YESSSSSSSS. I was hoping someone would write a story on that wonderful picture. This was so very well written, I haven't seen a story quite like this, like...ever. Your writing style is very very nice, love the descriptions :D All the dialogue was wonderful, dialogue is one of my weak points I think so I always admire people who do it well. I loved it when they were dancing together, that's always a hard thing to describe. The flow was great and I loved the bits of humor and how you did the scene changed. You captured the kiss very well too. Thanks for doing that picture justice, lol.
:iconangelwing1138:
Yay I did it justice! *was afraid she didn't* ^^ Thank you for reading it!
I try to make things a little humourous...Since I don't see Axel or Roxas as being serious to the max or something. o.o It just isn't possible. So humour for their personalities. And I always just think what they'd say in my head, to see if it'd sound right. I was really bad at dialogue whn I first started writing; sometimes still am. ^^;;
But yes. Thank you for reading and commenting! ^^

WOOT. Your writing skillz still amaze me, just when I think you can't do any better you pull some stunt like this! Amazing, love how you can take a picture and create a story to it. It fits so well. Love how you write to, so vivid it is like I'M there. I give it a 20 out of 10.
